Topic: The use of CCTV ( close circuit television cameras in streets, stations, shops and other public places has increased rapid rapidly in recent years. Although we are told that these cameras help in the fight against crime, some people are opposed to their use. They believe that everyone has a right to privacy. What are your views?

Public security is pivotal for all nations. Security cameras are an invasion of privacy while others argue that camera installation at public places is appreciated by citizens. Individual safety is more critical for citizens because peace is a worldwide desire.

Cameras oppose privacy. Passengers travelling by plane are covered by clothes, however this issue may be complained by human rights activists. Activists consider security cameras as a privacy violation. Individual surveillance might provide freedom rather under detection by cameras. Therefore, cameras may not be prohibited from public places.

In addition, protecting people may be the responsibility of the authorities. In the past, each society did not have cameras but cities still lived in well organized societies. Advanced technology could not guarantee better choices for national stability so societies can be safe without cameras.

On the contrary, security cameras provide well-disciplined societies. They reduce traffic accidents from speeding drivers. They play pivotal roles against terrorism. Many cameras are stored at airports. Those cameras can be used to monitor suspicious activities including criminal activities or vandalism. Hence, cameras have encouraging results.

Furthermore, surveillance cameras provide several beneficiaries. They are effective in the prevention of shoplifting as well as illegal activities such as inventory shrinkage from employees. Digital security cameras are used to control employees’ punctuality in the work place. Those cameras contain audio which is beneficial in preventing harassment. Therefore, securities cameras offer various advantages.

In summary, installing of cameras in public places should be promoted. Citizens’ security should be a priority.
